With over thirty-seven years of varied martial arts experience, a career in Asian healing/medical arts was a natural progression for Jay. After graduating from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2004, he began practicing Chinese medicine. Now he is a part of the at Amitabha. Here's what he has to say about his healing philosophy: My training in Chinese medicine encompassed a variety of treatment methods, including acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, Tuina (Chinese medical massage), and Chinese herbology. As a healer, it is my philosopy that in treatment of illness, many times "less is more". In principle, this means that being as non-invasive as possible, while assisting the body in finding its own natural state of balance. When this is acheived, the body's internal landscape will be better suited to healing and wellness, relieving not only the symptoms of disease but mitigating the root of the illness, as well. Providing truly compassionate care is one of my foremost goals, and I look forward to continuing this practice for many years to come. |
