Geo Espinosa, N.D., L.Ac is the Director of the Integrative Urological Center at NYU Langone Medical Center. Before joining NYU, Dr. Espinosa was a clinician, researcher and Director of Clinical Trials at the Center for Holistic Urology at Columbia University Medical Center. He is a licensed naturopathic doctor, licensed acupuncturist, a Certified Nutrition Specialist and a Registered Herbalist. Dr. Espinosa did his residency/fellowship in Urology at Columbia University Medical Center, Department of Urology under Dr. Aaron Katz. His research and practice is exclusive to urology and men's health. Early in his academic career, Dr. Espinosa noticed the lack of quality control in dietary supplements - something that can be toxic and interfere with the healing process of patients taking them. For this reason he focused his thesis work on the quality control on the manufacturing of dietary supplements and is one of the authorities in this area. Dr. Espinosa’s practice is limited exclusively to men’s health including alternative therapies for: prostate cancer, chronic prostatitis, prostate enlargement, erectile dysfunction and other urologic problems. |

He has specific interest in clinical nutrition, western and eastern herbal medicine, acupuncture, mind/body connection and exercise as powerful therapies for urologic conditions. Additionally, Dr. Espinosa has taught pharmacology and nutrition at the College of Mount St. Vincent's and currently is an adjunct professor of Anatomy and Physiology at Lehman College. Dr. Geo is one of the authors who wrote the naturopathic entry in 1000 Cures for 200 ailments, by Harper Collins; March 2007. |
